In the midst of the global pandemic of 2020, and facing social justice issues in our communities, Tech Data launched a campaign to emphasize our commitment to diversity & inclusion, to our communities, and to each other. While our brand guidelines only allowed for use of our two primary colors (the green and blue) with one secondary brand color, I used three of the secondary colors, along with #000000 black, to represent the diversity of our workforce.

Coffee with Rich was a virtual chat with our CEO, Rich Hume, where Rich would get together with another member of the organization to discuss all matters of things, and host a Q&A session with colleagues who attended. I used Rich’s actual handwriting for the logo to add a personal touch that juxtapositions nicely with the digital coffee mug.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, social media experienced a ‘blackout’ in response to murder of George Floyd, the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, and the killing of Breonna Taylor. To acknowledge these atrocities and stand in solidarity with those fighting for change, Tech Data wanted to release this statement. Because of the blackout, I chose a black on black motif to visually emphasize our commitment to being strong together.
