What I’m Good At

Emotion-based Storytelling
I pride myself on my ability to connect and craft narratives around the appropriate emotional response that I am targeting in our audience. I use a number of methods that I have practiced over the years to accomplish this: music, pacing, repetition, authenticity, among others.
Levity with Purpose
One of my greatest strengths is my humor. If you recall the commercials that transcend advertisement and become popular culture references, it’s mostly the ones dipped in humor. The ability to weave levity, humor, and wit into the stories we tell can be critical to having your message retained by the audience.

Move to the Music
There’s a reason we get songs stuck in our heads. They tell their own stories and can transcend language and cultural barriers. I’m able to select the right music track to highlight the story and let the viewer know how to feel, and edit the music track to fit the visuals, and vice-versa.

Crafting Narratives

Humans don’t remember facts and figures — we remember stories. Starting my career in unscripted television, I developed a keen sense of narrative and how to create it, because I was tasked with creating single stories out of fragments and pieces. Oftentimes, my role as a video editor was to fill the gaps and arrange the assets in a way that made sense for the audience.
